Houston

I travel to Houston, Texas, from the late 1990's and I had stayed in many different hotels.
Hotels become that second home and normally I classify the hotels based on their security, cleanliness, bathroom quality and bed. If I repeat an hotel means it got those minimal standards covered.
The last few month I got the best and the most disappointing experience in Houston regarding hotels.
The most disappointing was in an hotel that had an air conditioning unit in the room that was so noisy that you had to turn it off to sleep. As result of that in the middle of the summer in Houston I needed water. Went out of the room and signs indicated that at the end of the corridor they had vending machines. Walked all the way to the end and..... no vending machines but a sign that indicated vending at the other end of the corridor. Walked all the way to the end and.....no vending machines. Went down to reception and they had no access to water or sodas afterhours. I decided not to use the hotel anymore and when I checked out the hotel management did nothing to fix the problem.
This week I stayed at the Westloop Marriott by the Galleria. I had the best experience there that you can expect from an hotel. When I checked in they greated me as an important guest, they made me feel that, and asked how they could make my stay better. The first morning the people in the front desk greated me when leaving. Not only one person but all of them. Valet parking is very good. The second day the actitude was the same. In the 5 days I spent there the service was better by the day. The 3rd day valet knew at what time I left and they had the car waiting for me.
I reccomend this hotel to anybody traveling to Houston. Reasonable priced and GREAT Service.
